Thomas Ganske has created a new holding company to manage the activities of his Publishing Group. In GANSKE VERLAGSGRUPPE GmbH all activities of all companies of the group are bundled.
The holding will be led by a management board of four. Thomas Ganske will chair the board and will take interim respnsibility for the magazine division, Frank-H. Haeger (books-division and E-Business), Karl Udo Wrede (Treasury, retail and mail order activities) and Peter Notz (Controlling).

The JAHRESZEITEN VERLAG concentrates the management of the women magazines FÜR SIE, PETRA and VITAL under Jörg Hausendorf as manager. The living magazines ZUHAUSE WOHNEN und SELBER MACHEN is under the responsibility of PETER RENSMANN as manager as well as the magazines of the Premium Magazin Gruppe DER FEINSCHMECKER; WEIN GOURMET, A&W ARCHITEKTUR & WOHNEN, MERIAN and COUNTRY. COUNTRY rises its publication dates up to six times a year. The magazine WEIN GOURMET gives its WINE AWARDS for the first time to winegrowers and does credit to Mario Adorf as Wine-gourmet of the year. Green light is given for the new building of the multimedia centre of the JAHRESZEITEN VERLAG in Hamburg-Winterhude. The TRAVEL HOUSE MEDIA VERLAG in Munich is founded. The GRÄFE UND UNZER VERLAG celebrates 100 years of cooking books and widens out its range of production. It subdivides into the sections cooking & enjoying, house & garden, living & learning, partnership & family and body & soul. TEUBNER celebrates its 25th anniversary. The GANSKE SERVICE GESELLSCHAFT in Hamburg is founded as a competence centre for accounting and accountancy. Decision about the closing of the SCHROBSDORFF´SCHE BUCHHANDLUNG in the Kö in Düsseldorf.
